NAFC SVQ STUDENTS MAKE A TRAWL

Seen recently making a trawl as part of their SVQ Level 2 in Fishing are James Johnson (Venturous), Grant Irvine (Defiant) and Chris Shearer (Tranquility) with NAFC Marine Centre lecturer Arthur Johnson.

The trawl has a 320 x 160mm fishing circle and is rigged on rubber discs with six inch hoppers around the mouth.  The footrope is 122 foot.

Arthur Johnson commented: “The three students were excellent net menders and makers.”
