For the last 2 evenings Vicki Mordue (our Da Haaf Restaurant Manager) and I have been attending a training course for the Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders in readiness for the change in licensing law on the 1st of September. From that date the law will state that the Premises Manager of any premises holding a licence will need to hold a personal licence. Da Haaf restaurant does have a bar facility and also offers wine with your meal and so falls under the Scottish Licensing Regulations Act 2005.

Needless to say, fun was had by all which rose to a peak when we sat the examination paper at 20 minutes to 10 last night! Oh how we laughed...not!
