Shetland School of Nautical Studies (SSNS) has a highly qualified professional staff with experience across a range of disciplines afloat and ashore, utilising state of the art simulation equipment, engineering workshops and training vessels. SSNS operates a high quality support infrastructure within modern facilities alongside a robust quality management system. They offer a range of courses at all levels and to all relevant national and international standards applicable.

The School prides itself on its professionalism and the ability to respond in a flexible and timely manner to requests for training from individuals and employers; and will always attempt to deliver additional courses where possible, or develop new courses to customer specifications.
