GOOGLE EMAIL SCAM - DR. GEORGE FISCH

NAFC Marine Centre here issues a warning to all vessel charter companies globally of an email scam by someone claiming to work at the Centre.
 
A number of companies that offer charter pleasure craft and cruises have been emailed by someone called 'Dr. George Fisch', who claims to be a researcher from the Centre wishing to charter a vessel.  This is a hoaxer that tries to extract money by wire from the vessel operator.  The Marine centre wishes to apologise for this hoax, which is beyond its control, but has notified the authorities in the UK and Google in an attempt to have the account closed.

Global operators should note that the numbers supplied in the email are also part of the scam, and if called they will be charged at a very high premium rate.  If you want to express your feeling to Dr. Fisch...do it by email.
